I know there is an official definition of what a Nor'ester is, we have had two in two weeks.  I will give you my version of what it means to me.  My window of my studio above you can see the snow piled high over my flower beds.  A Nor'ester means to me, snow, snow and more snow, lots of wind and sometimes the power goes out.  I was lucky, I didn't lose power either storm.  My back and arms are sore from the shoveling.  My father has a tractor and...

I know a lot of you, myself included, are waiting patiently for life as we knew it to go back to normal prior to COVID.  We have had to 'create' a new normal since COVID. Instead of resisting, rejecting, stomping and dragging our feet all the way, perhaps we need to direct our focus elsewhere, like our fibre art?  I thank to the heavens that I have had my business and rug hooking to keep me sane during these difficult times.  Busy hands make for a happy soul.  Or a cat...

First off, I hope you all had a blessed Christmas, time to relax and enjoy those you love.  The new year has rolled over to 2022.  Kind of crazy really when I can remember when it rolled around to 2000 and we thought, wow we are in the two thousands and now 22 additional years have passed.  I hope you don't wait until the new year to 'begin over', 'start over', or 'try again'.  Every day is a new beginning, don't waste it.

I didn't rug hook over the holidays but...

I am sure you have all heard the phrase before, Count Your Blessings. We truly are very blessed and sometimes we don't think of all the blessings we have.  I am a firm believer that 'you get what you give'. When we do something for someone else, more blessings come our way.  I am so very fortunate to have wonderful family and friends.  They truly have my back no matter what.  I spent Friday with 3 good friends and the belly hurting laughter, makes one happy to be alive.  Another friend...

All over the world, International Rug Hooking day was celebrated yesterday, so thankful for this wonderful craft we call rug hooking.  The above rug was one of the first rugs I completed.  I love hooking geometric rugs to this day.

I finished up two of my Christmas pillow tops.

In the mail this week; Lynne Lines is working on her One Wish pattern by Della's Rug Hooking Studio.  I love her poinsettia.
