A Moment, A Year, Many Years, May 01, 2022
Today is my daughter Jenna's birthday, big 30! I will turn 60 this year and for some reason that number has been troubling me. Not so many years left on the other side of that number it seems. Makes one face their mortality. It sure doesn't seem like 30 years have passed since I had my last child. The photo above I took yesterday before my daughter dashed out to a 2000 themed bachelorette party. Doesn’t that sound odd to you? I probably know what a 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and maybe...
Kids and Grammies, April 24, 2022
You have all heard before I am sure, kids keep you young. It is really true. Last weekend I spent time with an almost 3 year old and this weekend my 12 year old grandson (Denver) and his friend. As we age, we need to keep moving or else everything seizes up! My granddaughter last weekend kept me running, 'come meme' from one activity to another. I spent the...
Warmer Temps, April 10, 2022
We have seen some warmer temperatures in Nova Scotia this week, yesterday I actually got to sit in the sun for a bit after cleaning up my flower beds a bit and picking up pine sticks that fall from the pine trees out front of my home every winter.
The tulips are a sure sign of spring and my friend Lynne gave me the above pretty yellow tulips. She is such a sweetie.
I had posted on one of my Facebook groups regarding the donation that was made in honor of...
New Beginnings, April 03, 2022
April is the month of new beginnings. The buds on the trees will come alive, flowers will peek out of the ground. I had a new 'great' niece born this week. With all that is going on around us in the world, we can see life goes on and new growth happens.
I finished my Nutcracker. Now to finish a few other projects before starting something new.
In the mail this week, Diane Benoit finished this beautiful pattern by Periwinkle Laine. The background is Pixie Dust...
