Do you get the 'winter blues'? What is the 'winter blues'? I think when we are dealt with cold and darkness for an extended period of time, it affects us. How we deal with it, differs from person to person. For me, I don't think I consciously think about it. It is what it is for me, I'm usually so busy getting through each day, I don't have time to dwell on that I guess. I know I would be lost without the seasons, so this too will pass. Some people embrace the cold and dark, do activities outside like snow shoeing, snowmobiling, skating, cross country skiing and many more outdoor activities. I guess bottom line, do what feels right for you. Keep active in some way, have a hobby, keep in contact with people that help lift you up.
I finished up my Lesley pattern by Encompassing Designs and just now realized I hadn't taken a photo. I will be binding and whipping the edges this coming week so I'll show a photo next Sunday of the finished project.
In the mail this week; Diane Benoit finished up her Encompassing Designs rug called Padula, it is gorgeous, thanks for sharing Diane. Background and several of the flower colours were hand dyed by Della's Rug Hooking Studio.
Kim MacKenzie finished up this lovely Delft pattern by Ruth Downing. Kim loves purples and she did a fabulous job, her second piece! Most of the purples came from Della's Rug Hooking Studio.
Simone MacNeil finished up this lovely rug, background is Northern Lights, hand dyed by Della's Rug Hooking Studio. Great job Simone. Simone's own pattern.
REMINDER, Pop-up shop this coming Friday, February 14th and Saturday the 15th at the Hampton Inn, Dartmouth, NS. The girls from Periwinkle (Debbie & Charlene), Creative Ewe (Leslie) and me, Della's Rug Hooking (Della) will hopefully have whatever you may be looking for.
