It has been a very busy week. Starting with a rug hooking retreat at Rothesay, NB at the Villa Madonna. Great group of gals from all over, organized by the New Brunswick Rug Hooking Guild. The fishing shacks on the river just below our Villa was in full force fishing mode. Lots of shacks and a few of the ladies went to visit. Photo above (L-R) are Margie Anderson, Susan Sheppard, Pauline Verstraten and Lynne Lines.
I finished up this lovely pattern by Encompassing Designs called Lesley at the retreat.
We played Right, Left, Center (RLC) most evenings and our Vicky Comeau won, one of the evenings and you can tell she was very happy!
Diane Benoit finished up her Encompassing Designs pattern called Pudula. Fabulous job Diane.
A few of us brought along to the retreat our completed Jean Jacket inserts. The following people are in the photo top to bottom, left to right. Thanks Caroline for the photo. Katherine Pettigrew, Diane Benoit, Kim MacKenzie, Elexa Douglas, Vicky Comeau, Della Ackles and Lynne Lines.
Della's Rug Hooking Studio was vending in Dartmouth the last few days with Periwinkle Laine, and Creative Ewe. I want to thank all of the lovely ladies who came to shop the last few days. Because of you, we are able to do this and look forward to repeating next year!
Wendy Archibald brought her poppy rug to show me that she is hooking. It is a Periwinkle Laine pattern. Wendy rug is so lovely!
In the mail this week; Shelley Myers finished up a couple of rugs, both her patterns. The first is for a Northport Loopers Challenge. Before Christmas we were all presented paper bags to pick from and challenged to create a rug from the contents along with our own materials but the items in the bag had to be in the rug some where. Lovely job on both patterns Shelley.
Have a wonderful week everyone, try to stay warm as the cold continues and more ice and snow on its way today.
